fulfillment?" Hear from a panel of experts to guide you
along your career path when you attend PCC’s Professional
Development seminar on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, from 7:45
a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at Maggiano's, 516 N Clark (in the
Banquet Room on the Grand Avenue side).
PANELISTS
Julie Biber, Vice President-Recruitment/Edelman
Worldwide, has 12 years of experience in recruitment that
spans in both corporate and agency sectors. She started
recruiting for Edelman Worldwide in 1995 at a London-based
executive search firm, and after moving back to the U.S.,
she joined Edelman internally as their Recruitment
Manager, overseeing their needs in the Chicago office.
Currently, she serves as Vice President of Recruitment,
managing the searches for Chicago and New York, as well as
assisting other offices nationally and globally.
Glynis Gibson, President/Gibson Communications,
Inc., an award-winning public relations professional who
has been developing and executing public relations
programs from inside corporations and as an external agent
for 16 years for numerous high-technology,
business-to-business and health care companies.
Todd Hansen, Senior Vice President-Corporate
Reputation Marketing Group/Fleishman-Hillard, Inc., serves
as co-lead of the corporate/financial communications group
of the Chicago office. His work includes developing and
leading communications campaigns utilizing media
relations, employee outreach, executive speaking
opportunities, community relations and marketing
communications - to meet the business objectives and
enhance the reputation of his clients.
Cyndi Simon, of the Encore Group, a strategic
staffing services firm, that has built a reputation for
bringing the very best mid- to senior-level professionals
to top marketing communications jobs throughout the
Chicago area.
Each of the expert panelists will offer personal
insights into today's communications career environment,
including how it has changed, future trends and the job
outlook. In addition, the panelists will offer tips
regarding matching your skills to the requirements
businesses look for in assessing talent for hiring. They
will touch on the skills required in today's climate for a
communications career, and how these skills transfer from
job to job and from industry to industry.
