while Ostergarrd was recognized for his exemplary
efforts as chair of the Education Committee.
Lehrer received the PubClubber
Award, PCC’s highest honor, for his dedication and
tireless work developing and maintaining the PCC
website,

Plans for the Coming Year
Jeff Bierig is media relations
manager of the Chicago Tribune, where he has worked for
the past 18 years.
During the 2001-2002 club year, says
Bierig, "we hope to involve as many members in PCC
activities as possible. The real value of the PCC is in
the benefits it gives its members. We are a volunteer
organization that needs to bring more volunteers into
the fold. While running a committee may be a daunting
task, doing one activity a year for a committee should
be much more palatable."
David Brimm, president of the north
suburban public relations firm BrimmComm, says PCC needs
hard work and involvement from all members to help the
club succeed. "We appreciate your cooperation in advance
and hope to maintain and enhance the PCC's reputation
for its programming, educational activities and award
programs." |
