Eligibility Requirements
Membership is open to those who devote
the majority of their time to public relations. The club's
definition of public relations and publicity includes determining
public opinion, counseling management on communication activities,
conducting programs other than sales, marketing and product/service
advertising to positively affect public opinion and/or policy,
and managing the related personnel and resources.
Sponsorship
Applicants for membership in the Club
MAY be sponsored by a Resident and/or Life Member in
good standing, except for student applicants who may
substitute a sponsor with a full-time faculty member of
the school in which the student is enrolled.

Four types of membership may be applied
for in the Publicity Club of Chicago.

Please check the appropriate box and
attach a check or money order in the amount indicated to
cover first year's dues plus the $35 application fee (*there
is no application fee for students or additional corporate
members). NOTE: Dues for first-time applicants are pro-rated
by 50% after March 1. PCC's fiscal year is July 1 - June
30.

Resident. Open to any person
who meets the eligibility requirements stated above. Entitles
member to all rights and privileges of the Club, including
voting holding office, receiving a free copy of the Club's
Membership and Media Directory, and participating in other
Club program for members.

Student. Open to any full-time
undergraduate student majoring in communications, journalism,
public relations or English who has completed two full years
of college education. Entitles member to rights and privileges
of the Club except to vote and hold office and receive
a copy of the Club's Membership/Media Directory.
