Education Series

There’s something for everyone during our annual month-long series of evening weekly professional development seminars – whether you’re an experienced professional looking for emerging tactics, a practitioner who has just changed roles or a professional who’s just entered our ever-changing industry

The PCC Education Series is long on practical information from top PR practitioners who share their knowledge and experience in a small, intimate setting. It’s a great opportunity for one-on-one interaction, meeting peers and networking with veteran Chicago professionals.

The Publicity Club of Chicago was proud to once again partner with DePaul University as a sponsor for the 2010 Education Series. From its award-winning academic programs to its state-of-the-art learning facilities, DePaul University is a natural fit for our professional development programming.

Check out what we covered on media relations, crisis communications, special events and PR measurement during the 2009 series–which attracted record attendance.

The content that attendees found most helpful? Here’s some of the feedback we received:

  • “GREAT ideas for online resources for finding reporters on Twitter, blogs, etc.
  • “Tips and tricks to social media/examples of good social media strategies.”
  • “Dave’s ‘lessons learned,’ Carolyn’s case study format that illustrated the “why” behind the “what,” vehicles that are essential and the answers to the hardest and best lessons you’ve learned.”
  • “Challenging lawyers in crisis situations because I work with lawyers all the time at a regulatory agency.”
  • “Deanna’s outline of an actual press event.”
  • “Case study conversation.”
  • “All of it. What an amazing seminar filled with stories and tips.”
  • “Great value for the cost.”
