The Publicity Club of Chicago's Presidential Legacy Award is a distinguished honor designed to celebrate and recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our organization through their volunteer efforts. This accolade is reserved for those whose dedication, leadership, and commitment have significantly advanced PCC's mission.

Recipients of the Presidential Legacy Award embody the spirit of selfless service and excellence. Their invaluable contributions not only enhance PCC's initiatives but also inspire others to engage and invest in the shared vision of fostering communication and public relations excellence. This award stands as a testament to their enduring impact and serves as a lasting tribute to their legacy of service.

Through their exemplary volunteerism, awardees help to strengthen the foundation of the Publicity Club of Chicago, ensuring that the values of collaboration, innovation, and community spirit continue to thrive.


To nominate an individual or an organization for the Publicity Club of Chicago's Presidential Legacy Award for the 67th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards, you must provide a narrative of up to 800 words that demonstrate the case for the nominee to be honored by PCC.  You also may provide links to one or two professional examples, such as a published profile, video content or presentation deck.

The PCC Nominating Committee will judge nominees in four areas:

  • Impact on PCC: Did they change practices for PCC?
  • Advocate for the Industry: Did they promote the professions of communications, marketing or public relations?
  • Impact in the Midwest: Are they changing their community or communities? 
  • Unique Factor: Are they a pioneer of any kind or do they operate in a way that separates themselves from the pack?

Nominations for the Presidential Legacy Award must be submitted by Friday, June 13 at 11:59 PM CST. Questions can be submitted to office@publicity.org.

The winner of the Presidential Legacy Award will be honored at the 67th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards Ceremony which is taking place on the evening of Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago's Crystal Ballroom.
