Are you someone who loves managing teams, developing strategy, and bringing stories to life? Tier One Partners is seeking a creative, highly motivated Account Director to join our growing team.

Our ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience in PR and earned media. Working with b2b technology clients is preferred and experience in digital health or financial technology industries is also a plus.

The position calls for an individual who is ready to take on significant responsibilities for leading client business, including maintaining a high standard of quality on all of his/her accounts, building strong one-on-one client relationships, and helping to manage and nurture team members for agency success. The Account Director embodies agency core values and plays an important role as an account lead, ensuring the delivery of outstanding results and maintaining client satisfaction to support Tier One's ongoing growth.

Primary responsibilities include:

Strategy & Account Management

  • Develop annual and project plans that support client marketing and business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills for both short- and long-form pieces (press releases, bylines, executive speeches and white papers).
  • Manage accounts including hours, budgets and expenses.
  • Skillfully develop client social strategies, understand how traditional/social elements of a PR program align.
  • Understand core attributes of program measurement; develop measurement goals and track account results accordingly.
  • Conduct and lead internal account brainstorming meetings to ensure ongoing delivery of creative program ideas.
  • Manage staff in compiling client activity and results reports.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain?outstanding client relationships through successful execution of client initiatives, effective communications, reporting?and problem-solving.
  • Serve as day-to-day client lead; plan and lead client meetings (including?client contract/financial discussions).
  • Establish realistic client expectations on all projects; ensure clients are consistently informed of program status and results.

Media & Influencer Relations

  • Lead media relations strategies for all proactive/reactive opportunities; motivate team and lead by example to deliver outstanding print, digital and broadcast results that align to agreed-upon measurement goals.
  • Skillfully develop creative story angles that align client messaging to industry/market trends.
  • Manage and grow strong relationships with editors, reporters, producers, columnists, bloggers, and other media contacts.
  • Ensure account teams effectively, quickly, and accurately respond to reporters’ requests for information.
