As a Multimedia Content Producer Intern, you'll support Brookfield Zoo Chicago's mission to inspire conservation leadership by connecting people with wildlife and nature through compelling visual storytelling. Your digital media content-- videos, graphics, and short form narratives-- will amplify BZC's conservation message across online platforms, enhance guest engagement, and elevate Brookfield Zoo Chicago's brand presence in a way that excites and educates audiences both on-site and beyond.
- Assist in producing, filming and editing videos-- to support storytelling campaigns.
- Help with video shoots, including setup of camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Support with video editing with various programs (ex. Adobe Creative Suite)
- Contribute to organization and archival of media assets to maintain a well-structured content library.
- All interns are required to complete a final short-form video project as part of their experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of college at an accredited institution; with coursework in Film, Multimedia, Digital Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
- Experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience.
- Must be willing to accept internship as an unpaid position and commit to 10-12 weeks.
- Candidates should be able to maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to learn new skills.
- English fluency (reading, writing, speaking) and strong interpersonal skills required; multilingual ability, Spanish preferred, but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with video production, cameras, sound equipment and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro)
- Basic knowledge of photography, videography and sound recording
- Creative thinker with attention to detail
- Strong interest in wildlife, conservation, and storytelling
