We turn to a panel of Communication, Marketing, and PR leaders to provide trends for those fields at the beginning of a New Year. 

Join the Publicity Club of Chicago on Wednesday, February 9 at 12:00 PM for Communication, Marketing, and PR Trends in 2022. This webinar will feature MikeWorldWide (MWW)'s John Digles, Jasculca Terman Strategic Communication's Lauren Foley, Cramer-Krasselt's Mary Gura, and L.C. Williams & Associates' Shannon Quinn. Each panelist was part of a campaign that won a Specialty Award in last year's Golden Trumpet Awards competition.

Speaker Bios

John Digles is the Executive Vice President and Midwest GM at MikeWorldWide (MWW) and chairs the firm's Health & Wellness practice. Throughout his career, John has helped global companies and new growth ventures utilize communications as a catalyst for expansion, change, and transformation. Known for breakthrough ideas, John has led culturally-relevant, disruptive integrated marketing campaigns that won top industry awards. As a CMO, he helped built a startup into an international wellness brand and negotiated the first jersey-front sponsorship in North American professional sports history, a breakthrough deal with Major League Soccer.

John is also an award-winning movie producer whose work has gained critical notice at the Sundance Film Festival and major festivals worldwide. He led a successful effort by the movie industry to gain legislative approval of Illinois' first visual media production tax incentive, which attracted major studio projects, generated record-setting production revenue, and created thousands of new jobs with diverse hiring practices.

John serves on the Business Advisory Council at the DePaul University Driehaus College of Business and is an ambassador for The Economic Club of Chicago.

Shannon Quinn is an Executive Vice President at LCWA, where she manages the strategic and day-to-day operations for consumer and healthcare accounts. She leads the agency's social media practice and serves as one of LCWA's primary media trainers. Shannon excels at developing messages that break through the clutter.

Shannon had experience at agencies big and small before landing at the "just right" LCWA. She represented consumer and B2B technology clients at a boutique tech agency, and worked with Fortune 500 brands at a major international agency. In addition to her broad consumer, B2B and corporate experience, she has served as a corporate spokesperson in the telecommunications field.

A native of Sioux City, Iowa, Shannon graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in journalism and English.

Lauren Foley is the Chief Operating Officer at Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications (JT), where she works on a wide variety of projects for both public and private sector clients.

As the Vice President of Productions and Special Projects, she developed and expanded the firm's stage and video production department while helping to foster a better understanding of how video and stage production intersect with public affairs to help create the best possible narrative and outcome for clients. Lauren has produced videos for a wide range of clients including Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, The Chicago Community Trust, the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, the American Medical Association, the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and the Presidential Appointee Leadership Program.

Among her favorite projects, in 2017, Lauren worked as the project lead for the Chicago Cubs World Series Trophy Tour that took the iconic trophy to thousands of fans in six states across the Midwest. In 2013, Lauren served as the production liaison to City Hall/ field producer on the IDA nominated series, CHICAGOLAND, produced by Robert Redford and Laura Michalsychn of Sundance Productions and Marc Levin and Marc Benjamin of BrickCity TV.

Lauren graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor's degree in broadcasting and electronic communications.

Mary Gura is a Senior Vice President and Executive Director of PR/Social at Cramer-Krasselt. Before she retires in Napa to make wine, Mary brings her passion for perfecting processes and bringing ideas to life to C-K's public relations and social media programs. She's known for skillful team leadership and account management as well as expertise in content marketing, social business strategy, influencer engagement and social analytics.

Mary joined C-K from Edelman in Chicago where she was a Senior Vice President working across clients in categories such as automotive, pet care, consumer packaged goods and travel. Before Edelman, Mary was at Weber Shandwick where she worked at General Motors to activate the earned and social media efforts for GM's centennial celebration and production launch of the Chevy Volt. She also launched the first-ever employee blog, earning kudos from then CEO Rick Wagoner.

Mary is accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is a multiple recipient of the prestigious PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvil awards. She is also the immediate past president of PRSA Chicago, past board member of the International Association of Business Communicators. Mary volunteers with the American Heart Association and is a new member of the PTA.

Mary holds a B.S. in Public Relations from Kent State University. She resides in Chicago with her husband, three children and two fun-loving pugs.
