News Aug 15, 2025

Chicago, IL – Thursday, August 14, 2025 – The Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) is proud to announce that Carol Fox will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 67th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards, taking place on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Carol Fox is the founder and president of Carol Fox & Associates, Chicago’s leading PR and marketing agency for arts, entertainment, and hospitality. For 30 years, she has built CF&A into a nationally recognized firm, honored as one of the Top 100 PR Agencies in the U.S. by The PR Net. A Crain’s Notable Entrepreneur, Carol also co-founded See Chicago Dance, where she served as President for 12 years, championing the city’s vibrant dance community. Beyond the arts, she has supported Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) through board service and fundraising rides across the U.S.

“Carol Fox is the quintessential Chicago success story. From starting her business in her basement in 1994, to recently seeing CF&A named one of the top growing companies in the Midwest by Inc. Magazine, Carol never stops,”  said Anne Marie Mitchell, co-president of the Publicity Club of Chicago. “Carol led her agency brilliantly through a number of economic downturns, including the most recent COVID-19 pandemic. Her client roster reads like a who’s who of Chicagoland and national performing arts organizations. Carol also gives back to the community in her pro bono work in areas including dance and finding a cure for diabetes. PCC is proud to recognize Carol’s  tremendous impact with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Through Carol’s leadership in networking and new business development, CF&A's client base covers a wide array of non-profit arts organizations, theatrical productions, tourist attractions, city-wide festivals and shows/exhibitions that tour nationally.  Carol is a major supporter of the Chicago arts community and has served on the boards of the Chicago Dance Coalition and Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, in addition to being on the host committee for the Dance/USA Conference. Carol continues to work with many local non-profit organizations on a partial pro-bono basis including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Grant Park Music Festival, Ensemble Español, and many others.

Additionally, as a personal mission, Carol served on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) board for six years, hosting several fundraising events, and participated in eleven annual JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes events while also providing pro-bono PR services to the organization. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of marketing the arts and has served on numerous panels for the Publicity Club of Chicago and Dance USA.

“It is a wonderful recognition to receive the Publicity Club of Chicago’s Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Carol Fox. “For me, this work has always been about more than promoting performances or events. It is and continues to be about building communities, amplifying creativity, and ensuring that the arts and culture remain vital threads in our lives. I am grateful to have collaborated with so many talented clients, colleagues, and partners over the past three decades, and I share this recognition with all who have joined me in championing the transformative power of the arts and the joy of entertainment and hospitality.
